Summer is a vacation time for the many, but ISS GS is busy implementing new projects. This July, the company’s specialists successfully completed the relocation of equipment to the Gagarin International Airport in Saratov from two air harbors of Rostov: Platov International Airport and Rostov-on-Don Airport.

Gagarin International Airport in Saratov is the largest infrastructure project approaching completion. The official opening of the airport is scheduled for August 20, 2019. After its commissioning, the new airport will replace the existing one, which will be closed down and integrated into the urban area later.

It took 11 trawls and 5 standard tilt-covered trucks to move the large number of cargo required for operations of Gagarin Airport. Transported equipment included passageways, loaders, land levellers, ambulifts, aircraft tugs, cutting snow blowers, luggage carts tugs, chemical distribution machines, band conveyors, labeling machines etc. (30 items in total). The weight of the transported pieces ranged from 111 to 23901 kg. Relocation was carried out in three stages; it took ISS GS Company exactly one week to complete the task.
